Mapei Planiprep™ SC

High-Performance, Fiber-Reinforced Skim-coating Compound

Planiprep™ SC is a high-performance, polymer-modified, fiber-reinforced cement-based skim-coating and patching compound. Use Planiprep™ SC to skim-coat and smooth minor surface variations and defects on common substrates. Planiprep™ SC creates a strong, durable surface ready for almost any floor application.

Its unique formulation mixes easily with water and produces an easy-to-apply patching compound. Rapid-setting Planiprep™ SC allows for fast-track flooring installations in 30 to 60 minutes after application, depending on thickness and environmental conditions.

Use for skim coating concrete and approved wood subfloors/underlayments

Interior residential (rental apartments, condominiums, homes)

Interior commercial (office buildings, hotel rooms and hallways, restaurants, cafeterias)

Interior heavy commercial (hotel lobbies, convention centres, airports, shopping centres, grocery stores, department stores)

Interior institutional (hospitals, schools, universities, libraries, government buildings)

Recommendations

Do not install over substrates containing asbestos

For interior installations only

Do not apply over self-stick tile, strip wood, particleboard, flakeboard, plank or other dimensionally unstable substrates

Refer to the floor-covering manufacturer regarding the maximum allowable moisture vapour emission rate (MVER) or relative humidity (RH)

Use only when the substrate temperature is between 10°C and 38°C

Do not use as a final wear surface

Do not use under moisture mitigation systems

APA or CANPLY Group 1 exterior-grade plywood

Concrete and properly prepared cement terrazzo

Single layer of well-bound vinyl composition tile (VCT)

Cutback and non-water-soluble adhesive residues

High-performance, Fibre Reinforced Skim coating compound

Properly prepared ceramic tile

Properly prepared and primed gypsum underlayments that meet the ASTM F2419 requirements for compressive strength
