Nexus 870 Vinyl Plank Adhesive – 4 & 15L
Surface preparation
All surfaces to be bonded should be dry, smooth, and free of any contaminates that may affect final bond. All surfaces must be prepared in accordance with current Australian Standards 1884-2012 Floor Coverings Resilient Sheet including moisture testing.
Nexus 870 can be applied to concrete substrates with moisture content up to 85% RH (relative humidity) and falling. This RH should be measured by deploying the in-situ probe method (in accordance with ASTM F2170). Nexus 870 can be applied to concrete substrate with pH readings up to 10.0. It is recommended that all highly absorbent sub floors be primed with Nexus 510 Acrylic Floor & Wall Primer prior to the application of adhesive. The substrate must be absorbent to allow the adhesive to dry and cure. The minimum sub floor temperature prior to commencing preparation or adhesive application is 10°C.
Directions for use
Spread adhesive with a 1.6mm x 1.6mm x 1.6mm ‘V’ Notched trowel.
When installing PVC planks and Tiles lay floor covering into adhesive without allowing any tack-up time.
When installing vinyl sheet products adhesive can be allowed to have a short tack-up time before floor coverings is lowered.
Always check to ensure that complete transfer of adhesive to the floor covering has occurred.
Complete installation according to vinyl manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the installation is rolled in both directions with the recommended roll weight, prior to the adhesive setting.
Do not allow heavy traffic for 24 hours.
Clean up
Clean tools immediately after use with warm soapy water. Dried adhesive may be softened using a suitable solvent like Nexus 490.
