Nexus 485 is a solvent based adhesive designed to adhere latex based synthetic grass and outdoor carpets to most common substrates. It quick cures to form a strong water resistant bond.
The surface should be clean, dry, free from dust, grease, oil, and contaminants that may affect final bond. Concrete must be cured and free of any curing compounds. Refer to Australian Standard 2455- Textile Floor Coverings Installation Practise- General. Spread the adhesive with the recommended “V3” 3.2mm x 1.6mm x 3.2mm notched trowel and allow a short time to tack-up before placing carpet into wet adhesive. Tack up time can be determined by placing a small piece of synthetic grass into the adhesive. “Legs” of adhesive should be apparent when the synthetic grass is pulled away. Check to ensure that complete transfer of adhesive to the floorcovering has occurred.
